Terms & Conditions of Normanville Getaway

Normanville Getaway offers guests a contemporary style relaxed accommodation in the heart of the Fleurieu Coast, South Australia.

Host/owners Julia and Steve welcome our guests and we endeavour to ensure the highest standards in hospitality, cleanliness and service.

The following terms and conditions apply to bookings and stays at Normanville Getaway.

VISITORS

Normanville Getaway amenities are strictly for the exclusive use of paying guests.

TARIFF

Applicable as per booking arrangement.

Includes standard provisions i.e. instant coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper. No breakfast supplies are provided, guests must bring their own food if they wish to cook for themselves.

Includes free Wi Fi Internet access which is provided on a ‘fair usage’. Excessive usage will incur a fee. Guests are asked NOT to use Wi Fi to download large files such as movies, music, games, magazines etc

Includes free parking (not undercover) strictly available for paying guests only. Additional parking can be found across the road at the front of the house on the council property under the trees.

YOUR RESERVATION

The premises are let to you for holiday purposes only and are only available for the dates shown on your booking confirmation. All bookings are taken in good faith by us and may be subject to change for various reasons if we are notified by the landlord prior to the commencement of the booking.

Normanville Getaway reserve the right to cancel any booking should anything arise, which in our opinion absolutely renders the booking impractical. In either event, we shall notify you as soon as possible and do our best to arrange alternative accommodation or dates suitable to you, failing which all deposit monies paid will be refunded, but no other claim, right or action or demand shall exist in or be made by either party.

BOOKING AGE LIMIT

Persons must be over 18 to make a booking. Adult supervision must always be present when residing in one of our holiday rental properties.

Guests will not remove or reposition any of the furniture, fittings and/or effects from the premises. Guests will not sublet the whole or any part of the premises.

PEAK/HIGH SEASON RESERVATIONS (Summer School Holidays):

We endeavour to accept a 7-night minimum stay where showing availability, please consider this at the time of putting in a booking request.

Availability must be approved by the property owner before confirmation is granted. (A 7-night request will be considered over a request for lesser nights.)

BOOKING PAYMENT GATEWAYS

The following payment methods can be made to secure a booking request:

Payments are to be paid by EFT into our bank account. Details are provided on this website. Please state your name as a reference

Cash

Full payment is required on booking

Confirmation of accommodation will be emailed upon receipt of payment

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation to be confirmed in writing by email, WhatsApp or by phone

 

Up to 30 days before date of arrival

If a booking is cancelled or modified up to 30 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged and money will be refunded in full

 

Between 14 days and 30 days

If cancellation occurs between 14 days and 30 days prior to arrival date 50% of tariff will be refunded

 

Inside 14 days

If cancellation occurs within 14 days inclusive of arrival date or if guests fail to arrive the full tariff will be charged

If the property becomes unavailable for a booking owing to unforeseen circumstances e.g. storm, fire, illness, guests will be promptly notified. In these circumstances the owner will have no liability to the guest.

 

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES

Check in is any time from 2.00pm to 8.00pm. Please contact owner if a later time is expected

Check out is by 11am. A later check out time of 12 noon will be accepted when booking the Romantic package.

Keys will be provided on arrival.

NON-SMOKING POLICY

Smoking is strictly NOT permitted indoors

Where this policy is breached, a fee for cleaning, repairing and deodorizing will be charged

Should you wish to smoke please do so outside and far enough away so that the smell cannot enter the premises. Smoking is permitted only on the balcony and the outdoors downstairs. Please use the ashtrays provided and avoid butting out cigarettes on floor surfaces.

 

CHILDREN POLICY

Normanville Getaway is suitable for couples and children.

Parents/guardians are fully responsible for ensuring their children are supervised at all times, whether indoors or out in the grounds.

 

PETS POLICY

Pets are not permitted anywhere on the property

 

BED LINEN / TOWELS / ROBES

Bed linen will be changed on the third day of your stay

Fresh towels will be supplied on the third day upon request

Bathrobes are provided subject to a bond payable upon arrival of $20 per robe refundable upon checkout.

 

LIGHTS, HEATERS AND APPLIANCES

Guests are asked to turn off all lights, heaters, air conditioners and other appliances prior to leaving the premises and when not in use

As we do not have mains gas, hot water is via bottled gas. Please let owner know if you are experiencing any shortage of hot water.

 

HOUSE RULES

Guests are asked to:

Keep volumes of TV, radio, music and other activities at a reasonable level at all times.

Wash up after using tea/coffee and cooking utensils, dining ware etc and return to appropriate location after use

Use the rubbish bin located under the sink

Use the recycling bin (yellow lid) for recyclables

Return all items including dining-ware, glassware, cutlery, torches, books, games, DVDs to their appropriate location after use

Bikes, scooters, skateboards, surfboards and boogie boards are not to be kept inside the B&B but can be stored adjacent to the B&B

Do not dispose of any items other than toilet paper in toilets

Telephones are not provided but mobile phone reception and internet access is reliable

 

OCCUPANTS PERMITTED

The number of occupants (including children) must not exceed the number of beds stated in the advertisement of the property. Failure to adhere to this requirement may incur immediate termination of your booking.

Caravans and tents are not permitted at any times.

 

NO PARTY POLICY

Please note that Normanville Getaway has a strict ‘No Party Policy’. Failure to comply with this policy may result in the eviction of guests and the loss of any deposits or payments made.

Our property will not accommodate the unique needs of school graduates during the annual ‘Schoolies Week’ period.

 

LOUD / ABRASIVE GUESTS

Guests that cause nuisance or annoyance to adjoining or neighbouring properties/occupiers will have their booking terminated immediately. No refund will be offered. Guests are to abide by the EPA Guidelines in regards to noise levels at all times.

A call out fee of $60.00 per hour will be charged should a member from our office have to visit/attend the property.

Authorities will be contacted if guests refuse to adhere to the EPA Guidelines or vacate the property upon request.

 

CLEANING

Any issue with relation to the cleanliness of the property needs to be reported to our office within an hour of your arrival, in order for us to rectify the problem for you immediately.

On departure, the premises is to be left in a neat and tidy condition. A checklist with guidelines will be provided upon key collection. All rubbish is to be removed from the property or placed in rubbish bins, which are to be placed on the curb when vacating.  Failure to put the bins out will incur a dumping fee.

 

BBQ

An electric weber-q is provided. Guests are asked to clean weber-q and utensils thoroughly after each use.

 

EFFLUENT SYSTEM

All houses are on a septic effluent system.

Please DO NOT flush foreign objects down the toilet/drain.

If a plumber is required to attend the property and the guests is found responsible for the blockage – all repairs will be charged to the guests.

 

ITEMS LEFT BEHIND

Items will not be automatically returned. We will hold the items for a maximum of two weeks and then pass them onto to a local charity.

 

FIRE SAFETY AND FIRST AID

Fire extinguisher and fire blanket are located in the kitchen cupboard next to the fridge

A basic first aid kit and band-aids are located in the kitchen cupboard next to the fridge

 

SECURITY

Upon departure please ensure: All doors, windows, gates are locked. Electrical appliances, heating and cooling switched off.

Please leave refrigerator, freezer as found.

 

BREAKAGES, DAMAGE AND SOILING

Guests are responsible for any of damage to the property fittings, furnishings and other items provided by the owner including breakages and excessive soiling caused by them and must pay the full cost incurred by the owner to replace, repair or clean damaged items at the owner’s discretion.

Guests must compensate the owner for any lost accommodation bookings should the property need to be closed in order to carry out repairs.

Guests must also pay a reasonable fee if the owner needs to undertake extensive cleaning, dry-cleaning or deodorising owing to soiling or where a room is left in abnormally poor condition.

Loss of personal items and equipment such as DVDs, books, towels, linen etc will be charged to the guests.

Note: The Owners reserve the right to reject booking requests and may alter these terms and conditions for specific bookings.
